Our Gold-filled items are 14kt gold-filled. 14k Gold-filled products are identified as 14/20 Gold-filled; alternatively, 14kt Gold-Filled is also acceptable. Gold-filled is a reasonably priced, quality alternative to solid gold. Gold-filled items have a much thicker layer of gold on them, and the gold is a much higher quality. In fact, it is just a step down from solid gold when it comes to quality and value. Gold-filled items also use a gold alloy, which can be very strong depending on the karat of the gold that is used. Remember that the lower karats of gold tend to be a bit stronger, 14 karat gold being an example. A higher karat of gold indicates a higher purity, and while that means the gold piece itself is more valuable, the metal will be a little softer. As a frame of reference, keep in mind that 24 karat gold is pure gold and, thus, the softest form of gold available. Buyers who are looking for a more durable jewelry piece may want to opt for a lower karat. Gold plating is a miniscule layer of solid gold applied to a brass base. The plating does not compose any measurable proportion of the product’s total weight. It is estimated to be 0.05% or less of the metal product. Gold plating will wear off rather quickly and expose the brass base product. It does not stand up to heat, water or wear over time. By comparison, gold-filled contains 5% gold by weight; moreover, all the gold is on the surface which offers product protection from tarnish and wear. You won't need to worry about gold-filled jewelry tarnishing, and even if you have an allergy to certain metals. You won't have to worry about allergies from metals such as nickel. You can't say the same about gold-plated jewelry.

Gold-filled does not de-laminate or peel like plated or "dipped" products. Nor does it tarnish as readily as silver. Many owners find that they never have to clean gold-filled items at all. However, from time to time your jewelry may become dirty from everyday wear. To clean gold-filled it is best to use mild soap and water. Hot weather and water will not damage the material.

Returns are accepted on all products including sale items, except custom pieces. All returns must be postmarked within thirty (30) days of your receipt of the ordered merchandise. Item(s) must be in original unused condition, and all tags, cards, boxes and/or pouches must be included with your return. To make a return, please email devonpavlovitsjewelry@gmail.com. Please include your name, order number, and the items you’d like to return in the email. We will get back to you and provide return shipping instructions as well. We do not cover the cost of returns, so an $11 shipping fee will be deducted from your refund. Your order will be refunded within 1 to 2 business days of arriving at our office. Please note that we can't process refunds more than 30 days after the date or purchase (not the date of shipment), so please keep that in mind. All returns must be postmarked within thirty (30) days of your receipt of the ordered merchandise. Item(s) must be in original unused condition, and all tags, cards, boxes and/or pouches must be included with your return. Any unauthorized returns (including returns without a Return Form), undelivered packages, or returns postmarked after thirty (30) days of receipt by the customer, will be refused and the item(s) returned to sender. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, and the customer is responsible for return shipping costs (unless the item had arrived damaged). Refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment. Unfortunately, at this time we cannot accommodate exchanges. Devon Pavlovits ships all orders with insurance so please contact us within three (3) days of receipt of any damaged goods so we can contact the shipping company and proceed accordingly. Although we check all merchandise for defects and damage prior to shipment, it is the responsibility of you the buyer to check the product promptly upon its arrival to make sure it is free of any defects. Damaged goods may be returned to Devon Pavlovits, with all such returns subject to these Terms of Use. Goods damaged due to buyers’ negligence will not be accepted for refund.

When you place an order for an item displayed on the site, you are making to Devon Pavlovits an offer of purchase. If Devon Pavlovits accepts that offer, we will supply the goods where possible, but will not be obligated to do so. If an item you order is not available, or the price has changed, we will attempt to contact you to let you know of the unavailability or the price changes, as applicable. If we are unable to contact you, we will cancel the order. We will not substitute any item without your permission first. We attempt to promptly ship products ordered. Generally, orders placed Monday-Friday before 3 PM EST will begin processing that day, excluding holidays, and will ship within 3-5 days, in all cases pending availability and credit verification. Please allow additional time for shipments to APO/FPO addresses as well as International orders. We do not provide weekend delivery for any method of shipping. Please note that these processing and shipping provisions are only general guidelines, and Devon Pavlovits cannot ensure that the time frames noted will be met.

This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for www.devonpavlovits.us. Devon Pavlovits wholeheartedly respects your privacy. The sole owner of all personal information collected at this site is Devon Pavlovits, and Devon Pavlovits will NEVER rent or sell your personal information to any third party. The information collected and stored by Devon Pavlovits includes your name, address, telephone number, and email address. While your credit card information is collected at the time of purchase, only the last four digits are stored on Devon Pavlovits server. Credit card information is sent directly to the PayPal Website Payment Pro Service secure server, and that is where it is safely held. Because Devon Pavlovits collects personal information through a secure server that features the latest encryption technology, you can be assured that none of your information will be viewed by anyone outside of Devon Pavlovits and PayPal. Furthermore, all shipping labels are pre-printed at the Devon Pavlovits office, so none of your personal information is held or stored by any of the shipping companies that are used to deliver Devon Pavlovits orders. The information you provide to Devon Pavlovits will only be used to process your order and to add your name (mailing address and email address) to our mailing list so that you will receive future mails by post or by email. Unless there is a problem with your order you will not be contacted by Devon Pavlovits. You may update or change the personal information Devon Pavlovits has collected by sending an email to devonpavlovitsjewelry@gmail.com. Should there be any changes to Devon Pavlovits' Privacy Guarantee, all affected users will immediately be notified by email and all relevant changes will be posted to this portion of the site. Devon Pavlovits does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Devon Pavlovits makes good faith efforts to store information in a secure operating environment not available to the public, Devon Pavlovits cannot guarantee complete security. Devon Pavlovits disclaims liability for unintentional security breaches. If any provision of the Terms of Use is held unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be removed without affecting any other provision and the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable and construed in accordance with applicable law as nearly as possible to reflect the original intentions of Devon Pavlovits to enforce any provision of the Terms of Use shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right.
